Margaret's was founded in Paterson, New Jersey in 1965 by salon owner and founder Margaret Cooper. Margaret's dream was fostered by believing that providing excellent customer service coupled with the latest in black hair styling and care would be the perfect recipe for a successful hair salon.
Over the years the commitment hasn't changed. Margaret's has grown to be one of the cities top black hair salons in hair care , styling and trends.
In 1986, the salon relocated to 446 Broadway Paterson, New Jersey. The business quickly became a second generational family owned establishment. Margaret's son, Donald Cooper, has led the salon into the 21st century with the same basic commitment to hair fashion, trends and hair care.
With 20 plus years in healthy black hair care under his belt, Donald continues his training from some of the the top cosmetology educators in the country.
Donald and his staff are committed to meeting your black hair care request on demand.
Because of Margaret's continued excellent customer service, a large percentage of the business comes from repeat customers and referrals.
